A Praia do Mar de Fora, situada no lado leste da Vila do Canto, é propícia para os que preferem um mar mais agitado, com ondas ideais para a pratica do “jacaré” e do surfe. Suas águas cristalinas lhe conferem o título de mais pura e limpa da região; é muito procurada também pelos adeptos da pesca de arremesso. Suas águas, entre os meses de julho e agosto, servem ainda de refúgio para as baleias que migram da Antártida – um espetáculo à parte. As areias limpas se confundem com as da praia do Mariscal e compõem o cenário ideal para quem gosta de fazer saudáveis caminhadas.
