Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort's golf course, which opened to the public in early 2012, has received its own “royal” treatment from world golf legend Severiano Ballesteros. Applying his art in golf course design, the celebrated golfer has created a truly unique course here, honoring the high quality standards of the resort and MSF TUR.IM.
Designed to blend subtly with the natural surroundings, taking advantage of the undulating terrain, this 6,400-meter course attracts golfers of all levels and varied nationalities. In Ballesteros's own words: “My philosophy is not only to have a competition field that is a challenge for professional players, but that can also be enjoyed by any player.”
A well-equipped clubhouse with restaurant, bar, pro shop and golf academy overlooks the holes of the golf course. It is a uniquely located leisure space with a panoramic view of the golf course and the Atlantic Ocean, where the golfer can enjoy various dining options, including extended menus or simple snacks, to relax after their game.
In keeping with the MSF Group's global quality concept, the Royal Óbidos Spa & Golf Resort's golf course provides a unique golfing experience from check-in to the 19th hole.
