Hermitage to Our Lady of the Assumption built in the 16th century, by the will of D. Luís da Silveira, 17th Lord of Gois and 1st Count of Sortelha. Manueline style, however, the chapel underwent a series of transformations during its recovery in the first half of nine hundred. It assumes a prominent position from the top of the hill of the Castle, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the village of Gois and the mountains that surround it. Inside, there is the image of Our Lady of Fatima, which is used every year in the Candles Procession, which takes place on May 1st and 31st: on the 1st day the image is transported to the Mother Church in the day 31 the image returns to the place of origin.

It is said that the Chapel was built with the ancient materials of a fortress that existed there, so the name of Chapel of the Castle
