A 5-minute walk from the sea, Portmellon Cove Guest House in Mevagissey is just 9 minutes’ drive from the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also less than 30 minutes from the Eden Project, this luxurious guest house offers free parking and Wi-Fi and an award-winning selection of breakfasts.
Each room includes a flat-screen TV with DVD player, iPod dock, a fridge, minibar and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite shower, and some rooms also have bath. Each bathroom has underfloor heating and has bathrobes, a hairdryer and toiletries provided.
The guest house has a spacious garden with patio area, with direct access from some rooms. All rooms have views of the sea.
A full Cornish breakfast is served, along with fresh kippers and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The continental-style buffet offers yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit, as well as homemade preserves and warming porridge.
Portmellon Cove Guest House is around 7 miles south of St Austell, with Fowey and Truro both just over 30 minutes’ drive away. Newquay’s Fistral Beach and the fine restaurants of Padstow are 45-50 minutes away on Cornwall’s northern coast.
